St. Ambrose Great Wines Great Times

Join us for a Virtual Wine Tasting Class on February 5th at 8pm.  

St. Ambrose parent and professional sommelier and wine educator, Phil Prifold, will lead participants in a class on how to taste wine, introduce wine regions around the world, and discuss topics like food and wine pairings. Phil has been in the hospitality business for over 30 years, including 12 years as the Lead Wine & Spirits Instructor for both the Bachelor's and Associate programs at The Art Institute of Washington.   Additionally, for 9 years Phil taught both the Certificate and the Diploma Programs for the International Sommelier Guild in DC, Minneapolis, Orlando, Miami and Chicago.  In an earlier life, Phil was an Executive Chef and uses this experience when teaching about wine to help his students understand about food pairings.

Tickets include four wines to taste during the class.  You can enhance your experience by adding on a charcuterie board and chocolates to enjoy with your wine and St. Ambrose commemorative wine glasses.  **We are sold out of wine glasses, but you can still purchase your charcuterie and chocolates at a discounted price.**  Wine and food packages, including the Zoom log on information for the class, must be picked-up on February 5th in front of the parish center from 2:30-3:30. If you are interested in participating in the class, but are unable to pick-up the wines, you can purchase a half-price ticket and provide your own wines.  A suggested list of wines for use will be emailed.
